What is Aria Yoga?

Aria in musical term is a piece (usually the melody) of a larger work and known in classical music. Sheryl has been playing the piano since she was 5 which had a major impact on her life. When the yoga practice began many years later with a vast amount of learning about self and that we are just a piece in such a larger picture of this journey of life. Hence, Aria Yoga, the Harmony and Balance of breath, movement, spirituality and well-being. Life presents so many wonderful things but also the challenges, obstacles, and the unexpected. Sheryl guides her students to be in the present moment and not to linger on what has already happened. With smiling, laughter, and fun anything is possible.

Sheryl is passionate with all that she does and teaches from the heart. She received her certification in her 200 & 300 YTT at Always-At-Aum Yoga School where she then became one of the Yoga Teacher Trainers for 5 years thereafter. Other training and certifications include Partner/Contact Yoga at Kripalu Center, Shirodhara Certification from Ayurveda’s World in NYC, Thai Yoga Massage from Lotus Palm, PACT Fitness Certification (Physical Activity during Cancer Treatment and beyond), Yoga Ed K-8, Reiki Master, Buti Yoga, former Zumba instructor and continues to teach Piano to all ages. Sheryl can be found teaching classes weekly at Yoga Studios and Gyms on Long Island and in New York City and also teaches workshops all over the country.
